1. Who you are contracting with
Work is carried out by Vasile Novotni, a self-employed sole trader trading as London Tape & Jointing, based in Harrow, London.
2. Quotations
No prices are published on this website. Quotations are given in writing after a site visit and are based on the board area, access, required finish level and programme seen at that visit. A quotation is valid for 30 days. Changes to scope, additional boarding, remedial work to boarding installed by others, or standing time caused by other trades are charged separately and agreed before being carried out.
3. Programme and access
Dates are agreed in advance and depend on the areas being boarded, clear, weathertight, lit and reasonably accessible on arrival, with power and water available. Where access is not available the programme may move and any waiting time may be charged.
4. Materials and waste
Materials may be supplied by us on request or by you. Where you supply materials, we are not responsible for defects arising from them. Waste removal can be arranged for an additional fee; otherwise waste is stacked tidily for collection through your site waste stream.
5. Standard of work and guarantee
Surfaces are finished ready for painting. A 1-year guarantee applies to the jointing work carried out, covering defects in that workmanship. It does not cover movement or settlement in the structure or framing, damage by others, moisture ingress, defective boarding or fixings installed by others, or decoration applied over an unsuitable surface preparation by others. Please report any defect promptly so it can be inspected.
6. Payment
Payment terms are stated on the quotation and invoice. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date. Staged payments may be agreed for longer programmes.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to putting right defective jointing work carried out by us, or to the value of the work invoiced, whichever is lower. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
